Hey Hyrule fans! Fencer6 here! We have a ton of new news for the latest Hyrule Warriors game!
Above is the new Hyrule Warriors logo, which, as fans predicted, confirms the name will remain Hyrule Warriors. While this reveals almost nothing, it does look pretty awesome and shows off their amazing master sword design, Along with this picture was these three statements shown below:
- The first stage of the game takes place in Hyrule Field.
- Players must defend or reclaim areas by fighting against hordes of enemies and using different types of flashy and powerful moves.
- Players will encounter new enemies such as Sorceress Cia, but some familiar enemies like Bokoblins and Lizalfos from The Legend of Zelda series will also appear in the game.
Honestly, these blurbs of information makes it seem even cooler. While starting off in Hyrule Field isn't that big of a deal, it might mean that we finally don't start off the game ASLEEP! The fact that you defend or reclaim areas seems interesting, possible meaning the main plot of this game is defending Hyrule's territory. The fact that their are 'hordes of enemies' seems interesting as well. I mean, if you have such an overpowered sword, might as well use it. Although, I have no idea what 'flashy moves' means. Could it mean that we get more combo moves? Well, whatever it is, anything flashy can't be a bad thing.
Secondly, a 'Treasure Box Set' will be released along with the game for hardcore fans. This treasure chest will include the following:
- Retail copy of the game
- Official art book
- Triforce-style table clock
- “Bravery” costume set (3 types)
- “Wisdom” costume set (3 types)
- “Strength” costume set (2 types)
- Hero’s scarf
- Treasure chest-shaped retail box
Lastly in Hyrule Warriors promotional news, Nintendo has set up a brand new official website for Hyrule Warriors, which you can view by clicking here. This is what the website had to say about the game:
- Cut down entire legions of enemies as Link™, Impa and other Legend of Zelda™ characters using over-the-top powerful Dynasty-Warriors-style moves. This tour de force through the beloved locales of Hyrule will have you battling the fiercest enemies in Zelda history. Think tactically and conquer missions in the most efficient way you can to save Hyrule!
- The delicate balance of the Triforce has been disrupted, and Hyrule Kingdom is once again being torn apart by a dark power, this time lead by Sorceress Cia. Now it’s up to the legendary hero Link to face hordes of enemies and find the missing Princess Zelda™. Advance the story to unlock new playable characters with unique moves and weapon types. Collect Rupees and other useful items to upgrade weapons and craft badges, which you can use to bolster each warrior’s abilities. Then unleash the full power of your attacks with intense combos to clear wave after wave of Bokoblin hordes. You’ll have to get your gloves dirty to save Hyrule this time.
- Play as fan-favorite characters like Link and Impa for the first time in the series!
- Battle the fiercest Legend of Zelda enemies across Hyrule’s most famous locales.
- Lay waste to your opponents with brutally efficient attacks and intense combos
Gameplay
While not much gameplay news was revealed compared to how much promotion they've done, the following details were revealed.
- In this storyline, Link is a warrior in training, and Zelda is stolen from Shia, a Ganon-wannabe evil witch.
- Besides Impa, several other characters are also playable
- A new kind of targeting called 'Z targeting' can be used to dodge attacks and hit enemies at there weak points
- Different weapons provide varied fighting styles- light weapons focus on speed speed and heavier ones on damage
- Weapons and even characters can be upgraded
- For the first time ever, this Zelda title will be two player! One using the gamepad while the other uses the TV!
All of this news sounds pretty amazing. New ways to upgrade, attack, and use weapons will add all kinds of varying strategy, and playing multiplayer will be an interesting technique never seen in a Zelda game before!
Well, that's all for this post! Be on the lookout for new posts about the next Zelda title. Below are a series of screenshots about the game. Based on what I've seen I'm going to guess the title will be rated T for the amount of violence and some of the clothes characters wear (which I didn't include below). Hope you like it! Stay tuned! Also, if you're dying for new news, I have also included several GameXplain videos below as well.
